Scotty Newlands
SCOTTY NEWLANDS started his passion for music at the age of 7 as a boy
soprano. Also an accomplished clarinetist, Scotty played in many school and
community functions around Scarborough before enlisting into the Canadian
Army Reserve infantry in the summer of 2002 as a musician. Since his
graduation from York University in the spring of 2003, he has been seen as
Young Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, Planchet in Three Musketeers, Tom
Valianus in The Sisters Rosensweig and in various other film/theatre roles
throughout the city. Currently, Scotty is working towards a full-length feature
album, which he is recording in-between concert venues and acting
performances.
