Joanne Kennedy
JOANNE KENNEDY will be best remembered by CLOC audiences as Glinda in
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Nancy in Oliver!, Anna in The King and I and Maria
in The Sound of Music. She studied music at the Royal Conservatory and
Drama at U of T. Other stage roles have ranged from the title role in Rose-
Marie to the title role in Mame. She has also played leads in Anything Goes,
The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Carousel, Chess and Man of LaMancha.
She has appeared in her own one-woman show, Officers dinner theatre and in
many Toronto nightclubs. Recordings include Greenwood Productions’ “BPM
Project,” Joe Cascone’s “Show Tunes I Do!” and the original cast recording of
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
